Leighton attended a brand new event for The Council of Fashion Designers of America that she is now part of, and the party welcomed new members as well as old ones. Also, Leighton was seen at The Piano Bar in NYC a few nights ago along with some of her Gossip Girl co-stars. Thanks so much to the livejournal community blairwaldorfs for the pictures.

A few days ago, Leighton appeared on the CW11 Morning Show and The Morning Show with Mike & Juliet. She was promoting Gossip Girl, and her charity event she was attending that night, Shop Til It Stops. | New Event! |
Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester took to the red carpet in New York on Thursday to take a stand against domestic violence.
The actress hopes to raise awareness of the abuse women suffer at the hands of a violent partner, and spoke out in support of the 15th annual Shop 'Til It Stops campaign - which raises funds for the cause through retail sales.
And Meester insists she was moved to take part in the drive, because the topic can effect everyone.
She tells People.com, "I think it's an issue that everyone can take part in because it applies to everyone. You can be a victim or someone you love can be a victim. The more people are aware, the more it can be prevented."
